Brief Encounters
Most of our short guides fall into
what we call our Hoofprint series;
colourful booklets giving distilled
information about particular topics. |
The idea is that, just as you might
buy a guidebook when you visit
a stately home, so you might also
want a brief, informative guide to
something which interests you.
In this way various topics such
as life and work on the Manx
mountain, the Vikings, or mediaeval
crosses all fall within our Hoofprint
series. They are – we hope – lively
and economical introductions to
the subjects.
There are however a couple of books
which offer a collection of brief
information on various topics
and which are not part of our
Hoofprint series. |
Most recently, Manx Myths,
Mysteries and Miscellanies provides
an introduction to the odd and quirky,
while the twelve chapters of
Sites & Stories each give information
about a different Manx attraction,
complemented by a short story set in each. |
So, fact or fiction, we hope you will
find something you like. |
